Patlabor OVA/TV/New OVA

Postby Enfy » Sat Jul 31, 2010 6:09 am

Any chance for a Patlabor OVA/TV/New OVA release?

First OVA was just released on Blu-ray in Japan, and the rest is coming in the next two months. CPM released everything on R1 DVD way back.

I'd love to buy it on Blu-ray, but the Japanese release has no subtitles, and sadly there is no chance in hell this will ever make a return in the US.

The problem is I'd have to secure the DVDs and from what I've seen, unless I'm just not looking hard enough, is that the DVDs are near impossible to find. If I'm just dumb and not looking hard enough and someone can show me a place to get the DVDs at a reasonable price, I don't see any reason I couldn't do this, and considering the movies are already planned, it would be a good fit to do these too.

That's the problem, the DVD's are crazy expensive, AND the BDISOs that just came out are nigh impossible to find on Share/PD (from my attempts).

Haha, speaking of Patlabor, looks like G_P just released both 1080p and 720p versions of the OVA. Since they rarely do dual-audio, I doubt this one is. So if you want to see it, that's probably your best option right now.

ORLY? Dub would be nice, but beggars can't be choosers.
