Anime Series You Badly Want to See Remastered or in HD

Hellsing is one of the few series to be equally popular with both ourselves and the Nippon folk. I'd be surprised if Funi haven't already nabbed the license for Ultimate from Geneon, so I'm quietly confident that the BD will be winging its way over here soon enough.

I really hope they do so. I'm not too confident that it's coming tho. Black lagoon season 1 has been out on BD in japan for some time and still no North American release. They seem lazy to me. LOL

Less lazy, more hesitant. Given the state of the industry Stateside (pun not intended), Funimation doesn't want to risk oversaturate the market. This will sound counterintuitive, but they'd rather have fans chomping at the bit for a slower stream of releases, to maximise the sales from each license. To that end, they feel that they have enough "AAA" titles for now to not bother with pushing any more.

The smart amongst you will have noticed this line of thought rules out a significant increase in potential revenue. It's a rather damning indictment that they think we fans won't put our hands down our pockets if given the chance.

It was supposed to get a blu ray by Funimation but nothing so far... The Box set is getting a reprice in july though...

Death Note is screaming to get the Blu Ray treatment, or at least get remastered.
